Thanks for grabbing that Pianist Cheat Sheet, I think you'll really enjoy it!
(If its not in your inbox, check your junk folder, k?)
I'm thrilled that you get to teach with a pianist..
I've left you a special message below!
All the music we use in ballet can be divided into 2 families:
duple and triple meter
For example: the mazurka, the polonaise, the waltz, the 6/8, the tarantella, the minuet, etc are ALL triple meter. While the hornpipe, polka, galop, 4/4 march, 6/8 march, tango, habanera are all divided into 2 pulses, or duple meter. When you begin to understand music through that concept, understanding the music you hear begins to simplify and make sense.
The triple meter music that seems to trip the most people up are the mazurka, the polonaise and the 6/8. Since I get asked about them a lot I felt it made sense to create a smaller resource made of only those types! Easy to take in. Quick.
Everything that comes inside The Official Music Training Course for Ballet Teachers (the PDFs, the MP4s, the video trainings, etc) are all included inside this mini course for these 3 music types!
Additionally you score a SPECIAL Triple Meter Masterclass that is ONLY available inside this course!
Be ready for your pianist..
Perhaps now isn't the time.. perhaps you don't already know these music types.. if that's the case, great!
Then I suggest you'll probably enjoy a very special and incredibly valuable resource that I created recently.
The Unset Exercise Music Tool
It's a spreadsheet of exercise types listed in order of a typical ballet class. Then, to the right, I've created 2 columns, duple meter and triple meter! Then I've listed my top suggested music types for each exercise according to the meter type!
Wildly useful if creativity and music selecting isn't your strong point! Using this spreadsheet will also help keep you from slipping into a rut of meter like, mostly triple meter or mostly duple meter (whichever is your greatest love, lol).
Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to connecting with you more in the future!
